It’s been a bumper year for young musical artist, 27 year old Jake Aldridge, who announces the release of his best work yet with new single, Pieces Of Me, which has been released to ITunes.
Aldridge, who is from Suffolk in the UK, has been busy building his credentials. This year he has seen his music video for previous single, Give You The World, which was filmed in Spain, go to number one on the VTYO video charts.
He has signed a publishing deal with Leopard Music, a synchronization deal with Go DIY Records and also secured a sponsorship deal with Asian-based RudeBoy Clothing Line. He also became the first artist outside of the US to win a feature competition hosted by music blog, Daily Hip Hop Jamz, receiving more votes than anyone else.
His music career came about rather unexpectedly after losing his father when Jake was 11 years old; he eventually turned to his diary as a way to cope with his grief. He started out with a £12 Microphone and a pop shield made from a sock.
Today, Jake Aldridge is a professional singer in his own right, racking up over 100,000 plays online and working with some top names in the industry to write and produce music.
Jake’s new single, Pieces of Me, promises to be the best work of his 10-year career and it doesn’t fail to deliver. Featuring incredible singer and childhood friend of Jake’s, Kelly Jenns, the song has a catchy piano tune, smooth raps and flawless lyrics that are typical of Aldridge’s style. Together with Kelly’s melodic overtones, this track makes for a clean and modern RnB-meets-Hip-Hop sound.
He commented: \"I think this may be my best work yet. I was over the moon to have Kelly involved. She was such a huge part of my life when I was growing up and for us to re-unite in this way, really was incredible. Producer Johann Elliott did an amazing job and since this was a first-time collaboration for us, communicating between the UK & California, we\'re overwhelmed with the result.”
